CompassRed Welcomes Summer 2020 Intern Class

Wilmington, Delaware -- CompassRed, Inc. today announced its Summer 2020 Intern Class consisting of students from across the greater Philadelphia region. This year’s intern class was selected from the widest and deepest pool of talent in CompassRed’s history with several hundred resumes submitted for a limited number of positions. The students selected for CompassRed’s highly coveted internship program are Michal Monselise, a PhD candidate from Drexel University; Aayush Dua, a MS candidate from the University of Pennsylvania; and Albert Opher, a rising senior at Sanford High School.

CompassRed believes in the value of internships, especially in today’s challenging world. The experiences, knowledge, and energy that intern classes infuse into the company push CompassRed forward when servicing client needs and building products. In order to improve the internship experience at CompassRed, the company partnered with two emerging Delaware programs, Intern Delaware and Project Mastery. CompassRed believes that it is important for Delaware to attract and retain its talent in order to grow the workforce of tomorrow. Intern Delaware coordinates experiences for interns in order to facilitate that. Similarly, Project Mastery helps to grow talent in Delaware by pairing rising high school seniors with local start up companies for a project-based summer experience.

Michal Monselise is CompassRed’s Data Scientist in Residence. She is currently a PhD candidate at Drexel University studying data science and specializing in all things healthcare related. Prior to pursuing her PhD, Michal has several years of experience as a data scientist at DS-IQ and Accretive Technology Group. In addition, she has taught and designed courses for data science and statistics at three universities.

Aayush Dua is a Summer Data Science Intern at CompassRed. He is currently pursuing Masters in Data Science at the University of Pennsylvania. While there, he has focused his studies on applications of deep learning and natural language processing. Previously, Aayush interned at Tata Consultancy Services where he worked on applying traditional machine learning techniques to solve client problems.

Albert Opher is a Summer Data Science Intern through the Project Mastery program at CompassRed. He is currently a rising senior at Sanford High School in Hockessin, Delaware. Albert is interested in pursuing a degree in computer science or mechanical engineering as he explores university programs.
