Thomas C. Redman, over at the Cutter Consortium, has been writing for a while for the Harvard Business Review about how organizations should be leveraging data within their organization. The most recent post on the HBR blog caught our eye as we see a lot of our clients know that they need to get on top of data within their organization - but not sure how to go about it or even what they'll get out of it.

In the last few years the industry has gone from from "Big Data" to  "Big Analytics" to potentially "Big Insights" (see Podcast of DataKind's Jake Porway). But as Redman points out - the first step is truly the commitment of becoming a Data Driven organization. Benchmarking the organization starts with benchmarking ourselves.
